Don't I have it all?

Don't I have it all today

I know this is what you say

Fancy car, beautiful house

Diamond rings, expensive clothes

So why this cloud looming over my smile?

Why use fluoxetine as a crutch when I could fly?

I dreamt of all this when I was a girl

When we were forsaken

Because we were poor

Wore hand me downs

Read from second-hand books

Mom sold her jewellery

So that she could cook

Thrown out from our house

Because we couldn't pay the rent

Lived life like gypsies

Our blue car was our tent

Oh how you laughed

When I couldn't attend

A picnic, a party or a social event

Because I couldn't afford the entrance fees

You called me cruel names,

Because I wore a short skirt to school

But what you didn't know

I was just growing taller

We couldn't afford new clothes

Oh how you broke my innocent heart

When you laughed at my dreams

Even before they could start.

Money talks, success sings

But happiness, it doesn't bring

Happiness comes with love

Happiness comes when you belong

Happiness comes when you have a home

Happiness is when you are held tight

Happiness is when you have a family potrait all around

Its true, its cold and lonely at the top

But I have started and I cannot stop

Loneliness comes with the territory

That is something I know for sure

So she is now my best friend

She will never let me go

I am not complaining, don't get me wrong

I am just telling you where I come from

Yeah you think I have everything

But I am still a little lost

Have lost the address of a place called home

So do I really have it all?

Unfaithful

I see your eyes wander away

I watch you watch her

As her hips sway

The lure of the forbidden fruit

Is like the siren's song

Makes me feel inadequate

Makes me feel small

I find questioning myself

What makes a woman's worth?

Is it the size of her hips?

Is it the beauty of her face?

Is it her endless legs?

Is it the color of her hair?

Is it her charm or her grace?

Does it really matter

On what lies beneath?

Does it really matter

In what she believes?

Does it really matter

On the choices she makes?

Maybe I am insecure

Maybe I am just being silly

But I know what I am

And I know what I cannot be

If I can respect their territory

Why can't they respect mine?

I know you have not crossed the line

And yet in my heart I feel betrayed

Do your actions make you unfaithful?

Or is it ok if in your thoughts you stray?

Yeah you come back home to me allright

But how much of you has wandered away?

How much of you really wants to stay with me?

How much of you is really mine?
