Curtain Call

Had a going away party on Thursday night inspite of me declaring that I won't be having one and I am surprised to admit that I had a lovely time. It was a perfect day, everything was just lovely. De arranged for everything and ensured that the home looked party ready with balloons and all. The house looked absolutely beautiful and complete inspite of the fact that most of my stuff was packed and sent to my next destination. For the first time in 3 years I didn't cook a single thing for the party and I was quite relaxed unlike the headless-chicken state I get into whenever I am hosting friends over and I was happy to see everyone else having a good time.

I have so many memories in this house and this home has seen so many parties, so much laughter, so many people and friends over the years and it was nice to close this chapter with one last party in the name of nostalgia. I know I am going to miss coming back to my home where I used to hide away from the harshness of the world but I need to move forward. And moving forward I am, but I am not leaving without the wonderful memories that will be forever locked in my mind as a beautiful snapshot of how things were when I used to live here....
