Sleepless in the Sahara
The lights on, the music too
Don’t like to leave my home alone
But I am not in
Because I can’t sleep
The phone never rings
There are no messages
Wonder if it’s working,
I know I paid my dues
Wondering if I was forgotten,
Wondering if I was deleted
Wondering if I was replaced
Wondering if I was wrong
Wondering if I was misunderstood
Wondering if I was banished from love’s kingdom
I stare at my reflection and I try
To see how the world sees me.
Driving in this endless sahara
Searching for my own oasis
Searching for a little bit of comfort
Seeking for a little bit of affection
Looking for a little bit understanding
Looking for a little bit of heaven on earth
Looking for some sleep
Just a little, just a little…
Don’t like to leave my home alone
But I am not in
Because I can’t sleep
The phone never rings
There are no messages
Wonder if it’s working,
I know I paid my dues
Wondering if I was forgotten,
Wondering if I was deleted
Wondering if I was replaced
Wondering if I was wrong
Wondering if I was misunderstood
Wondering if I was banished from love’s kingdom
I stare at my reflection and I try
To see how the world sees me.
Driving in this endless sahara
Searching for my own oasis
Searching for a little bit of comfort
Seeking for a little bit of affection
Looking for a little bit understanding
Looking for a little bit of heaven on earth
Looking for some sleep
Just a little, just a little…
